If you want to add a recipe, here is what you will have to do!
1. Gather all ingredients: Food, spices, measuring cups, pots, pans, bowls, ect.
2. List all of the food (type it out) including how much of everything. Ex. 1 cup, 1 teaspoon, ect.
3. Take a pictures of all of your ingredients even the spices you are using. Remember, some of these spices and ingredients will
be new to people and it will be easier to look for them in the store if you provide a picture.
4. If using only pictures, show each step with a picture. You may have 10 to 20 pictures by the time you are done. That is ok!
That is actually a good thing.
5. If you are doing a video, you must edit it so that it is not too long. If your food has to cook for two hours, do not let the tape
running that long! Just tell us and skip ahead.
6. You can do both: video and pictures
7. Your dish can be anything but preferably something with rice or eaten with rice. This can be a sweet dish or a spicy dish.
8. Make sure you provide the name of your dish and give a little background if possible about the food. Why is it so popular in
your country? What does the name mean translated?
9. Provide a picture of where your country is on the map. Please look at the page ALFRED in the taps area to see a little what I
am looking for.
10. This should be fun. If you want to show pictures of yourself cooking, that would be great!

The video below was taken in Port-au-Prince, Delmas 65, Haiti a couple of weeks before the devastating earthquake that struck Haiti on January 12, 2010. She survived but many of her family did not. In the video she is explaining how to cook chicken. Even without knowing Haitian Creole, you can kind of follow along. Enjoy! (I will work on getting subtitles soon).
Here are some pictures to show you how you can illustrate your own recipes.
